Usage

The timing of this review was perfect because I was going on a trip! I went out to San Francisco for Ad:Tech, so of course I brought the travel power outlets with me. When traveling I use my Lowepro CompuDaypack backpack. It has room for my laptop and D-SLR camera and a few accessories. Usually I would not be able to fit my power strip in there, but since the travel power outlets are so small they easily fit inside.

I was sharing a hotel room with a friend of mine so that only gave us a total of 4 outlets, so that definitely was not enough for all of our gadgets. I had my cell phone charger, laptop charger, EVDO router, and digital camera charger. So having the travel power outlets really helped. There was no problem getting everything to fit onto the small power strip. Also when you plug the strip in the plug lights up, it is a nice extra feature.

Final Thoughts

Targus has really come up with something so simple and useful I'm surprised that you don't see more little travel power strips like this. With gadgets becoming more and more mainstream people definitely are going to need more outlets than most hotels provide. The travel power outlets are perfect for the traveling person. At only $19.99 they are a steal. ThinkComputers gives the Targus Travel Power Outlets a 10 out of 10 score and our Recommended Award!

Pros:

- Small compact design
- Easy to travel with
- 4 outlets
- Built in over-current protection and surge protection

Cons:

- None!
