Case lighting has definitely come a long way. In the early days, any and all case lighting involved a drill, soldering iron, some knowledge of electronics, and an attempt to find something that would work in a case that was originally beige. Designing and making his own lighting mods as a kid inspired Think Computer's founder and CEO enough to eventually start this website.
Later, a few companies saw a market in modding supplies, and began producing various lighting products with LEDs and CCFLs, including LED fans. Finally the hardware manufacturers got on board and started building pre-modded cases, power supplies, and coolers sporting LED fans.
Today, it is pretty hard to find something new and unique, nearly everything one could imagine has already been done, but the guys at CoolJagUSA have come up with a really cool item, programmable LED marquee fans. Program a message to be displayed on your case fan.

The Mini LED Flash Fans come in three sizes, 80mm, 92mm, and 120mm. They come in hanging blisterpacks that are opened without any tools. CoolJag uses their own popular Everflow fans for the mod.
