Final Thoughts
The Zalman ZM500-HP is a decent power supply, but I'm not sure if it's worth the $120 market price. For a silent system build, say, for an HTPC, it's perfect. Modularity keeps the amount of unused, extra cables down.
I'm not too hot about having an LED I can't turn off. Sometimes, I like to have lights on in my machine, for instance at LAN parties. However, if this PSU was going into an HTPC, I'd want to have absolutely zero light coming out of my computer so that nothing is drawing my attention away from my TV.
ThinkComputers gives the Zalman ZM500-HP 500W Power Supply an 8 out of 10 score.

Pros:
- Quiet-Heat sink really helps
Cons:
- Expensive
- Undervolts
- Can't turn off the LEDs
