First Looks

The Zalman ZM500-HP is a fairly non-descript black box. That is, until one turns it around and sees the exhaust, there one can see the massive heat sink with heat pipes coming from within.

The bottom has a 120 mm fan which Zalman boasts is as quiet as it can possibly be while maintaining airflow.

The cable side has the modular plugs sectioned off by function. There are three 4-pin plugs for the 4-pin Molex connector cables, two 6-pin plugs for the two SATA cables, and an 8-pin plug for the extra PCI-Express cable.

The cables are all sleeved for greater aerodynamics. Two 2x 4-pin + floppy cables, one 3x 4-pin cable, two 3x SATA cables, and one PCI-Express 6-pin connector round out the set of modular cables.
