Introduction

The iPhone is probably the most popular phone out right now, but it will cost you around $400 so it is something you want to protect. You don't want to drop it and have your $400 go down the drain. Griffin helps us with this problem with the iClear, which is a protective case that still shows the beauty of the iPhone. One other major problem with the iPhone is the headphone jack. You can only use a few select pairs of headphones with the iPhone. I know people who have spent a lot of money on quality headphones, they don't want to give them up just to use the iPhone. So Griffin has come up with the Headphone Adapter that allows you to use any set of headphones with the iPhone.

iClear Overview

The iClear comes with 3 main parts, the clear case, belt clip, and armband. This in itself can justify the $24.99 price tag, because most cases are around $20 and don't come with a belt clip or armband. Also they are usually made of cheaper material.

The iClear is made up of 2 clear half's that clip together. The first thing that I noticed when checking out the iClear is that is was thicker than most other iPhone cases that I have seen, this will provide much more protection if you drop your phone. The iClear is made out of polycarbonate, which is the same material that is used on astronaut's faceplates, so you know it is tough.

Putting the iClear on my iPhone was very simple, just clip it on basically. One it is locked on it is quite hard to get off. This is good actually, a lot of the cheaper iPhone cases will come apart extremely easily. You don't want your case to come off when you drop the phone and have your phone go flying out.

The iClear leaves openings for all of your buttons and connections, although you cannot use the dock stand that comes with the iPhone, but the dock cable works fine.
