Introduction

NZXT is really not known for power supplies. They have made some of the best cases we have seen recently in the Lexa Blackline and the Adamas both of which received our Editor's Choice Award. So we have never tested a power supply from NZXT, but if they put as much quality into their power supplies as they do into their cases we should be satisfied. Today we are looking at the Precise Power 1200W, which features six +12V rails, an Active PFC, and a badass gun metal finish.

Features

- Compatible with new cards requiring with 4pin and 6pin power connectors
- Six +12V rails dedicated to your video cards and other components
- SATA and PCI-E Connectors
- Low noise power supply with thermal controlled 120mm Ball bearing fan
- Modular design for an easy and clean install, use only the cables you need
- Standard ATX Size, will fit any standard computer chassis
- Support for up to 8 hard drives
- Four PCI-E Connectors for the newest 8000 Series NVIDIA cards
- Industry standard protection: over voltage, current, short circuit, scan-disk-free, and voltage surge protection
- Sleeved cables for a cleaner and better appearance

Packaging

As always NZXT does a great job with product presentation. The packaging is very well designed with a picture of the power supply on the front. On the side there are full descriptions of each of the features. On the back there is a breakdown of wattage output.

Opening the package there is another smaller box inside and the power supply below. Getting everything out we have the power supply, all the connectors, Velcro wire ties, SATA to molex connectors, power cable, mounting screws, and the manual.
