Introduction

The GMC R-2 Toast PC case has very original (and patented!) concept for optical drive placement and loading. Instead of the traditional horizontally-positioned, tongue-like tray extension, the Toast, as its name implies, orients the drive vertically so that the optical drive tray shoots up like a piece of toast. The hard drive is also mounted vertically, so the case is very slim. Read on as ThinkComputers sees what pops up with the Toast.

The box bears a line drawing of the patented pop-up area of the Toast, as well as the model name and some other pertinent information. The case is very well-packed-not a single ding on it, despite the box looking quite beat.

There's not a manual in the box, only an expansion slot cover and a screw bag.
