When you are looking for an ultimate gaming PC there are not a lot of choices. It's not like you can go down to your local Best Buy or Circuit City and get a great gaming PC. At those retail stores you will find basic consumer systems, no hardcore gaming systems. So where do you turn if you want a top of the line gaming PC where you can choose the components inside and have it professionally built for you? Velocity Micro is one of the few companies out there that will do this for you. Today we will be taking a look at their Gamers' Edge DualX Custom Gaming PC. We will see how it performs against our test system and compare results to the price of each system.

Our system came in a huge Velocity Micro box via UPS. If you configure a system it should take 1 to 2 weeks to be delivered. When you open up the big box you are greeted by a message that says "Welcome to the New PC Experience" on the accessories box. Velocity Micro really wants your new computer to feel like an experience rather than just a computer that you just bought.
The accessories box has our keyboard, mouse, power cable, all of the motherboard extras, a Velocity Micro binder that has a thank you letter, all of your software CD's, and a user's guide, and finally you get a Velocity Micro T-shirt. When you remove the accessories box you will see your PC in the bottom of the box. It is very well protected with thick Styrofoam as well as cushions on the corners to make sure your PC does not move around at all during shipping. The PC is also covered in plastic to ensure there are no scratches on it when you get it.
