Introduction

A little while ago we took a look at the Cooler Master Eclipse CPU cooler. While it had a very unique design its' cooling was not up to par with other coolers out there. Well today we are going to check out the Hyper TX from Cooler Master, which has a fairly basic design, but offers exceptional cooling and easy installation. Sorry to all you Intel fans out there, but we are taking a look at the AMD version. Cooler Master does make an Intel version that will fit Intel CPU's including the new Core 2 Duo's. So let's take a look.

Packaging

Cooler Master uses clear clamshell packaging so you can see what the Hyper TX looks like before you buy it. The packaging is designed so you can get a good look at the base of the cooler, which is important. The back of the packing has a list of specifications.

Opening up the package we have the Hyper TX CPU cooler and instructions. This is probably one of the only CPU coolers that I have tested that did not come with any other mounting hardware. This is mainly because there are 2 versions of the CPU cooler.
