A Closer Look Inside

Looking at the bumpers closer, we can see they appear to be very well made of thick rubber, Velcro and held together by what appears to be rivets.

Once the Otterbox Laptop Case is open we can also get an inside view of the access port on the rear and the hinges.

We can also get a closer look at the working of the clasps as well, they appear to be very sturdy and will hold closed during rough transport.

Once open we find that the keyed locking mechanism is rather simple but effective, a fairly thick bar of metal is used in conjunction with the keyed rotating metal fastener.

The last thing to look at is the strap that holds your laptop in place during transit, it a flexible nylon material the same as the shoulder strap. It is in two parts, each part is part of the Velcro closing system. Each side is screwed into the bottom of the case.
