Introduction
A short while ago I reviewed the Corsair Nautilus 500 external liquid cooling system. Corsair was also kind enough to send me their VGA and Chipset blocks to go with the Nautilus so that is what I have up on the review block today. We know from my review that the Nautilus is an excellent cooling solution for your CPU, but what happens when you want to cool your video card and your chipset along with the CPU all in the same loop? Well you'll have to read on to see how the Nautilus performed under the pressure...
First Looks
The boxes for the blocks are pretty much identical, except each have their own identifying label on them.
Inside the boxes we find all the necessary hardware for installation, instruction manual and the blocks wrapped in Styrofoam.
A Closer Look
There is quite a bit of hardware for the Chipset block, reading the manual you will find that you don't need all of it. It all depends on what type of motherboard you have. Corsair also included some thermal compound as well.
The VGA block hardware is similar, although there are a few different parts involved. Again here it depends on the type of video card you have which parts will be utilized, and again Corsair has provided some thermal compound.
The blocks themselves are all copper, and come with a plastic protective cover that of course needs to be peeled off before installation. In the following pictures the VGA block is on the right and the chipset block is on the left.
