Introduction

Today I have another fine product from X-Micro, this one involves Bluetooth. Bluetooth is becoming more and more popular as a replacement for wireless connections. Seems like you can get most anything to work with a Bluetooth connection, cell phones, headsets, mice, I've even seen printers with Bluetooth. The one thing I found cool about this product is that it is more than a headset, it is a Bluetooth adapter as well, so if you don't already have a Bluetooth adapter (like me) you can use the dongle supplied for your Bluetooth connections. X-Micro products are usually pretty cool and well made. Let's check this one out...

First Looks

The X-Micro Bluetooth Stereo Media Phone Kit comes in our favorite sealed plastic clamshell packaging; the kit itself is prominently displayed in the front of the packaging. The back of the package has basically the same info as the front, but with some neat pictures.

Getting the clamshell open we can get a look at the contents, we see the Bluetooth adapter or USB Dongle, a USB cable that is used to charge the batteries of the receiver, headphones, receiver, documentation and a software disc.

The dongle itself is small, about the size of a small USB drive, the front has the X-Micro logo on it and the back has regulatory info on it. There is an activity LED as well.
