Introduction

When it comes to character VFD’s and LCD’s there are not many names that come to mind, but the one that does is Matrix Orbital. Since 1995 Matrix Orbital has been making LCD solutions. Today we will be looking at one of their newer LCD’s, the MX610. This LCD features the new PLED technology and has spots on the back to plug in 3 fans and 4 temperature probes. So let’s get this review started!

First Looks

The MX610 comes directly from Matrix Orbital. You can buy the display directly from them for $109.95. Getting the package open we can see that Matrix Orbital uses air pillows instead of peanuts. If you receive a lot of packages like we do you would hate the peanuts too!

Getting everything out of the box we can see Matrix Orbital threw in some extra goodies. In total we have, the MX610 display, silver mounting kit, internal USB cable, 2 temperature probes, indicator LED bus and a driver and utilities CD. All of these items can be purchased from Matrix Orbital’s website.
