Introduction

Most people use flash drives to transport files to and from work or school. To some, these files are not that important, but to many they are. So many flash drives out there are cheap and feeble. They can easily break by getting dropped or sat on. It can be a real pain to keep on buying new flash drives. Corsair has come out with the Voyager. The Voyager is virtually indestructible so it will last you a long time. Since the 4GB flash drives just came out, Corsair was nice enough to send us the 4GB version of the Voyager.

First Looks

The Voyager comes in a nice retail package. On the front it says compatible with Windows, Macintosh, and Linux. It’s always good to be cross-compatible. Also it states the Voyager has a 10 year warranty, you can’t beat that! On the back of the package is some information about Corsair.

Getting everything out of the package we have the Voyager drive, USB extension cord, lanyard, and driver CD. The lanyard is actually nice. It is blue and has the Corsair and Voyager logo’s on it.

The Voyager Drive

The voyager drive is made all of rubber. There is even clear rubber over the LED. Being made of all rubber makes the voyager practically indestructible. You can throw it against a wall, put it in water, freeze it, and it will still work perfectly. The drive has the flash voyager logo on the front and Corsair’s web address on the back. There is also a Corsair logo on the cap of the drive.

The voyager drive is about the same size as other drives out there. Here it is compared to a tube of Chap Stick. The rubber on the drive is very tough. The only weak part of the rubber is the part where you attach the lanyard, but it’s not weak enough that it will break off.
