Introduction
Well when most of us think of high quality headphones we think of over-the-ear phones. You know the big bulky ones. If you own an iPod or MP3 player then you should know what ear buds are. They are small earphones that actually go into your ears. We all have heard of Altec Lansing, they make quality speakers and other audio products. Today for review I have their inMotion 616 (iM616) portable audio system. You will see that these are not your average ear buds; they are quality made and perform great.
I would like to thank Altec Lansing for their continued support of ThinkComputers and for providing the iM616’s for review.
First Looks
The iM616’s came directly from Altec Lansing, and arrived very quickly as well. They come in a retail package, much like you would see at your local electronics store. On the back of the package are the specifications.
The inner part of the package is made of Styrofoam. On the side of the package there is “inMotion” pressed into the Styrofoam. Because the inner part of the package is made of Styrofoam it will protect what is inside very well as you can see from the following pictures.
Getting everything out of the packaging we have the following items: the iM616 headphones, 2 pairs of white ear tips, 1 pair of foam ear tips, 1 pair replacement filters, a filter changing tool, user’s guide, and a deluxe carrying case.
Pricing
You can buy these headphones directly from Altec Lansing for $149.95, but as you can see from our real time pricing you can purchase these headphones for a much lower price.
