Introduction

A lot of companies are making portable drive enclosures these days, they make it possible to take an internal CD/DVD or HDD and use it without actually installing it into a full computer system. This can be great for people who travel, or who want to add another drive to their system when they run out of space. Enermax is known for quality products and their Laureate Series of enclosures keeps up with that tradition. The Enermax enclosures I have today are very nice looking and very functional. The packaging they came in even screams quality.

Side note: This review will differ from our standard format, but not much. Since this is a review for 2 devices I will be combing sections to make it more readable and not repeat to much.

First Looks and Installation Combined

As I mentioned in the introduction, even the packaging is very nice and high quality. The boxes are actually covered in a cloth material, with a magnet that holds the lid down in place. The enclosures themselves are housed in a felt lined partition on the box. Very nice.

First we will look at the CD/DVD enclosure.

The boxes themselves are wrapped in plastic with the manual on the outside of the box.
