Installation and Testing

Installation is as easy as plugging something in. First plug the Power Angel in, then plug your device into the Power Angel, and you're all ready to see what your device is up to.

Testing, will be done of course by plugging a device into the Power Angel and seeing just what it tells me about it.

I tested a power supply as well, to see just how efficient it was. I will be using the Power Angel for all my future PSU reviews as well, so you will see it more often.

These pictures show the wattage and power factor at idle:

The following 2 show the wattage at load which was 2 instances of Prime 95, Super PI 32k and 3dmark2001SE running at the same time. I have an Athlon X2 CPU, so it allows me to run more things at a time.

We can see the power factor of the Xgbox Magnum is just great, at 96-98% efficiency, and the load wattage surprised me, I thought it would be higher.

Well, I'm not going to put a whole bunch of essentially the same pictures in here, but I did go around my house and try different things because I was curious about how much energy I was using for things that were on all the time.
