Introduction

Thermaltake was probably showing the most products at CES this year. They had a huge booth this year that was lined with a ton of new products as well as current ones. They have new cases, power supplies, CPU coolers, hard drive enclosures, and water-cooling systems. Thermaltake is definitely a company to watch in 2008 and we have the scoop on all of their new products. Read on to find out more...

Cases

One of the newest cases Thermaltake has released is the Xaser XI. The Xaser series is probably their most popular case series. The Xaser XI was a very elegant exterior, probably one of the coolest cases that I have seen. The Xaser XI will come in 2 different color combination, black/red and silver/black. Also the side panel can either be a window or mesh. Inside you have a tool-free design for the 5.25" and 3.5" devices and PCI slots, 10 PCI slots, 14 drive bays, removable motherboard tray, and an adjustable PSU supporting bridge.

One really cool thing about the Xaser XI is the top of the case slides back for easy access to water-cooling equipment or other components. The front of the case also features 4 USB ports and 2 eSATA ports. There is also a water-cooled version of the case available.

The Armor series has also been very popular. With its success Thermaltake presents the Armor+ case. It has an interior design much like the Xaser XI, but the outside design is much different. The Armor+ comes with a transparent side window with a large 230mm blue LED fan. It also has a tool-free design, 10 PCI slots, 14 drive bays, removable motherboard tray, and an adjustable PSU supporting bridge. The Armor+ will come in silver and black and is available now. There is also a water-cooled version available.

Thermaltake is also offering mid-tower versions of the Xaser XI and Armor+ called the Xaser XI Jr. and the Armor+ MX.

Thermaltake also has some newer cases in the HTPC market. The first is the DH101, which is a lot like the Bach that we checked out a while ago. There are 2 versions of this case one with a LCD and one without. The LCD is a Media Lab LCD that is capable of displaying characters in any language. It also has 10 hotkeys on the front for media operations, these hotkeys are Windows Vista compatible. The DH102 is basically the same case, but features a 7-inch touch screen LCD. Both the DH101 and 201 will only come in black.

The DH301 is the newest HTPC case from Thermaltake. We don't know that much about it. Mainly because it is being made for AMD's Maui platform, so nothing is set in stone yet. The version that we were shown was very small and has 1 optical drive bay, LCD, 6 hot keys, volume knob, and a built-in card reader. There is a white and black version. No word yet on when these will be available.
