CES 2009: iBUYPOWER

iBUYPOWER is another new company we met with this year at CES. They make custom PC's for all applications. What sets them apart from other companies that do the same thing is that they offer a 30-day no question money back guarantee, all systems pass a 72-hour burn-in test, and they offer lifetime toll free tech support. They were nice enough to invite us up to their suite to check out all of their new systems they will be releasing in 2009.

It seems like the SilverStone Raven case is the new popular case for system builders. iBUYPOWER has decided to go with this case for their Core i7 Quad-SLI Power system. This system is comprised of a Core i7 965 Extreme CPU, eVGA X58 motherboard, eVGA nVidia GTX295 Quad-SLI video cards, Samsung 256GB SSD and 1.5TB SATA drives, LG Blu-ray burner, Killer M1 gaming network card, Asetek Liquid cooler, 12GB of DDR3-1333 memory and a 1250W power supply. This system kill knock the socks off almost any other system out there!

Cooling is something that is always important to people and iBUYPOWER knows that. They are the first system builder to be using Thermaltake's Xpressar cooling system. The Xpressar system is the world's first DC inverter type micro refrigeration cooling system. It is said to cool systems 20 degrees lower than water cooling. The system that iBUYPOWER was showing had an Intel Core i7 965 Extreme CPU, ASUS P6T deluxe motherboard, Palit Revolution 700 video card, 12GB of DDR3-1333 memory, 1.5TB of hard drive space, LG Blu-ray burner, LG DVDRW, and a 1000W power supply.

iBUYPOWER is not all about Intel, they have embraced the new Phenom II processor from AMD as well. Their Phenom II system is comprised of a Phenom II X4 940 3GHz CPU, ASUS M3A78-T deluxe 790GX motherboard, Radeon 4870 X2 video card, 4GB of DDR2-800 memory, Killer K1 gaming network card, 1.5TB of hard drive space, LG Blu-ray burner, LG DVDRW, Liquid CPU cooling, and a 1000W power supply. The Phenom II is named "Dragon" and because of that iBUYPOWER is offering their Phenom II systems in a NZXT Guardian 921 case with a custom dragon side panel.

Now iBUYPOWER is not all about gaming, they do offer a video editing workstation as well. This system features a Core i7 965 Extreme CPU, ASUS X58 P6T6 motherboard, nVidia Quadro CX video card, 12GB of DDR3-1333 memory, Samsung 256 SSD and 1.5TB SATA drive, Buffalo Blu-ray burner, and a 1000W power supply.
