This year at CES OCZ was showing off their newly announced RevoDrive 400 NVMe PCI-Express solid state drive. Since OCZ is a Toshiba-owned company they are taking advantage of Toshiba’s NVMe controller technology with the new RevoDrive 400.
We did not get clear information on the detail of the controller, but we do know it is Toshiba-made. That drive will also make use of 15nm Toshiba MLC NAND. As far as speeds are concerned we witnessed peak speeds on a test system that showed reads of 2.7 GB/s and 1.6 GB/s write! Now those are some very impressive results right there!
The RevoDrive 400 will be available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GBm, and 1TB capacities. With a normal M.2 version and a version that comes with a PCI-Express x4 add-in card. It will come with a 5-year warranty as well.
