Testing – ATTO Disk Benchmark & CrystalDiskMark
Next up we have ATTO Disk Benchmark that measures transfer rates across specific lengths. ATTO uses RAW data, our transfer sizes ranged from 0.5 to 8192kb. ATTO is usually our definitive benchmark for solid state drives.
As you can see from the graph above the Vertex 4 takes the top spot as the fastest 2.5-inch solid state drive that we have tested with ATTO!
CrystalDiskMark is our next test and it has a sequential read / write test as well as a 512k and 4k random read / write test. Normally with SandForce-based drives we would have to run this test with 0-fill because SandForce-based drives do not handle incompressible data that well. Since this is not a SandForce drive we do not have to worry about that.
The prices and some of the links on here are for the 64GB SSD. Big difference in price between a 64GB and a 256GB SSD 🙂
