Testing – ATTO Disk Benchmark & CrystalDiskMark
Next up we have ATTO Disk Benchmark that measures transfer rates across specific lengths.
ATTO has become a real standard in solid state drive benchmarking and the results we received were great, 555MB/s read and 514MB/s write!
CrystalDiskMark is our next test and it has a sequential read / write test as well as a 512k and 4k random read / write test.
I am not sure why all of our scores were lower than normal here. I would have to say it is a software issue. I looked at other reviews and their scores were about the same.
Still too little difference between all of the drives on offer, still too expensive and all utilising the same controllers and memory chips.
Give me on that can do 130mb/sec and I’m sorted. NObody needs the thoroughput, it’s all seek times.
