NZXT S340 Razer Edition Case Review

A Look Inside
Getting inside the case is quite easy, just remove two thumbscrews on the side of the case. These thumbscrews are the ones that stay with the panel so you won’t lose them. Also there are small washers in between the screw and the case so you don’t scratch the case. The side panel of the case comes off quite easily and replacing it is just as easy. After you remove the side panel you can take a look inside and see that NZXT has made the inside of the case all matte black as well, there is even a Razer logo inside.

Starting at the front of the case since there are no optical drives there is a lot of room for cooling. Here you can fit two 120 / 140 mm fans or water cooling radiators up to 280 mm.

The case is actually seperated into two sections by a cover. It covers your entire power supply, but makes room for two 2.5-inch hard drive mounts. These mounts are visible so you can actually display your solid state drives, which is pretty cool. They are also removable so you can install your drives outside of the case and easily put them right back in.

The motherboard tray on this case supports ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX motherboards. NZXT has already pre-installed the standoffs, which saves you some time during installation. You can also see the very large CPU cutout in the motherboard tray.

Taking the opposite side panel off we can get a better idea of how the rest of the case it set up. You can see there is a large recessed section of the case that I talked about earlier. This is made so you can easily route your cables. You can also see there is a very large CPU cutout on the motherboard tray. This allows you to install an aftermarket CPU cooler without having to take your motherboard out of the case.
