NZXT S340 Elite Case Review

Final Thoughts
NZXT has been designing and banging out knock-out cases for years now. While they aren’t always perfect or stunners, they do always seem to innovate and build on their experience. The same can be said of the S340 Elite. Building on the excellent chassis that is the S340, the “Elite” features add plenty of value and took nothing away. It’s always great to see tempered glass panels on cases and the one that NZXT has added here is phenomenal. It goes so well with the starke matte black of this case that just soaks up light and makes the bright colors of your build pop. In addition it’s totally functional in every way. It is squarely a mid tower chassis make no mistake about that. There is not a lot of extra space to be wasted, but everything you would need for a clean modern build like three SSD mounts, a couple of HDD mounts, and full size parts are there. You also get extra features like VR front panel support and that cool magnetic headset holder. The no hassle cable management takes away headaches and gives you time back that would have been spent trying to tie down cables. All this and the S340 Elite is still only $99.99 from our favorite online retailer! This pricing is actually a really good deal for both the features and versus comparable cases.

While we are truly impressed with the S340 Elite there are a couple of things that should be noted before you make your purchase. None of them are deal breakers but worth considering nonetheless. The worst is simply that the fans included are a bit noisy. Nothing drastic but in a living room setting we would replace them. It’s also simply the reality of the quality of fan you will find cases spec’d with at this price range. Second we don’t like the rubber grommets that the tempered glass panel mounts on, they are too easily lost. Lastly be sure to carefully spec any radiators you intend to use as the space is very specific in it’s fitment.

Overall ThinkComputers would like to give the S340 Elite a 10 out of 10 score and our Recommended Award!
