NZXT Rogue SFF Gaming Chassis Review

Final Thoughts

If you are going into the mATX realm and want a gaming machine, this is the perfect case for that. While it is a bit larger than other SFF cases, that extra room allows for great cooling and space for large video cards and a full ATX power supply. NZXT definitely got it right with this case, it has to be the best gaming SFF case that I have seen and one of the best looking as well!

NZXT makes installation of your hardware easy with the removable motherboard tray. I’ve always been a fan of the removable motherboard trays and it is great to see one on the Rogue. One of the best features of the case besides the removable motherboard tray is the 3 panel design. So you have 2 side panels and 1 top panel. Not one of those hard to install single panels that usually ends up getting bent because they do not fit correctly.

The Rogue does have some “bling” with the top window and accent lights on the front, but it still keeps that minimalistic look, which I really like. I also like the amount of cooling this case has. You have room for 5 120mm fans! In a SFF case! NZXT knows many people will be using this for a gaming system, so they know cooling is important.

With a selling price of $99, it is a little higher than some other SFF cases, but all of those cases lack all of the features of the Rogue. ThinkComputers give the NZXT Rogue SFF Gaming Chassis a 9 out of 10 score and our Recommended Award!

rating9 10 small TC award recommended small

Pros:

– Unique design
– Great cooling
– Accent lights on the front
– Removable motherboard tray
– Carry strap included

Cons:

– We had some issues when installing our video card

  1. NZXt really thought of the lanner with this case. Nice product from them as we've come to expect

  5. Well, just look at the cases they make, like the beta, M59 etc. around like 50-60$ and they have features only found on higher end cases such as all black interiors etc.

  7. this is the only case that i've seen reviewed here that i thought it deserved a higher rating: the con: “We had some issues when installing our video card” is bogus because the case comes with specific directions on how to install the card with the removable mobo tray (which is amazing, btw). i did a high end build with this case for a kid that was going to college and i can say that i couldn't have been happier with the product. the solid brushed metal construction the whole way around was much more than i expected. also, everything fit perfectly. i see this case as a 10/10 that could be an attractive addition to anyone's desk

  12. no, some cases aren't all that straight forward. Some have features never seen before on other cases
