Packaging
The Lexa S comes packaged in a unique box. The front of the box shows the Lexa S appearing to be made in a futuristic assembly line. The back of the box goes into the features of the case along with some interior pictures.
The case is protected by two hard pieces of foam along with a bag to protect it from scratching and dust. The window on the side panel and the front bezel are also covered by plastic to protect it from scratching or getting fingerprints.
Not a fan of this type of case.
I love all the cooling they have provided, many fans. I dislike the door because you have to open it every time you want to insert a cd/dvd. Gets really annoying

black gloss is nice on any case until you take off the protective shipping plastic. unless you have a special cloth meant for cleaning gloss plastic like that it will scratch immediately. i do like the fact that the interior is painted, you don't see that on a lot of cases. this is the form factor i like to stay with. not to big that it's clunky, and not too small that it gets confused for a portable HDD. overall it has a sharp look to it, but most NZXT case's do.
Not really diggin' the front panel.

Yeah, I'm not really liking the front panel/door. I access my DVD drives fairly often and having a door to deal with would be a PITA. And leaving it open all the time is just asking for it to get broken. Other than that, nice case! 😀

Is it USB 2.0 or 3.0?
New case must have USB 3.0 front/top Input otherwise waste of time.

it's usb 2.0. Most cases / computers don't have usb 3.0 at the moment. I also actually can't think of any usb 3.0 devices out right now either, soon =).

Cases currently don't have USB 3.0 connectors because USB 3.0 motherboard compatibility is scarce.

As we see more USB 3.0 products being released, mobos and cases will start to have them. This winter some usb 3.0 thumb drives are being released.
Quite true but it'll a while before it becomes mainstream.

Agreed, but hope it does pick up soon, could always use that extra speed, to save me time.

We'll probably never see USB 3.0 devices reach the USB 3.0 spec's theoretical speeds.
That's why it theoretical 😉

Well, to be fair, none of my USB 2.0 drives ever reached their claimed speeds either, but any boost is always good.

My fastest USB drive maxes out at around 30MB/s
Which is only half of the theoretical 480Mb/s or 60MB/s
yea, definately hard to take care of these types of cases. It gets scratched easily like you said, but once it does, it'll start to look uglier and uglier. Plus it's a fingerprint magnet for sure, O.o

optical drives are dying as a storage medium. flash/ssd is whats up. get with the program. use microfiber cloth for a scratch free front panel and a small plier to fasten the standoffs.
The PC and console gaming market would beg to differ.
It only gets scratched if you scratch it. If you aren't carefully with your case, its your own damn fault for being clumsy. Thats how I see it.
optical disks are practical for distributing the data not storing it. cheap yes, reliable no.

Yea, flash / ssd is def more reliable, don't have to worry about it getting scratched and not being able to read it.
For me, i notice microfiber cloths tend to scratch up my plastic / screens more.
It's actually quite easy to scratch these cases, using a cloth, be it microfiber or not, to remove fingerprints tends to scratch it up quite a bit.
