NZXT HALE90 750W Power Supply Review

HALE90 750W Overview
The first thing you will notice about the HALE90 is that it has an all white design. Just this will make it stand out in any case. It sure will look cool inside of NZXT’s Phantom White case! The unit itself is the typical power supply size, not long like other higher-wattage power supplies we have seen. On the side of the power supply you have a sticker with the output graph and some other information on it.

Moving around to the back it has a honeycomb design that will help with cooling. You have a simple power switch and connector along with an Active PFC logo. The top of the power supply is pretty much all plain. On the bottom of the power supply you will find the 140mm fan. This fan has white blades that match the whole white theme of this power supply. There is a fan guard covering the fan and in the center is a NZXT logo.

On the front of the power supply there are 8 modular cables. They are not labeled so I assume you can plug cables in wherever you want. One thing I always look for when reviewing power supplies is that the cables that are connected to the power supply are sleeved all the way into the unit and on the HALE90 they are. There is even a rubber grommet around the opening to protect the cables even more.

Unlike a lot of the power supplies we have reviewed recently the only cables that are directly connected to the power supply are the 24pin ATX power connector and the 4+4pin EPS +12V power connector. The modular cables are the flat ones, you might remember these from the old ULTRA power supplies. There are 8 total modular cables giving you 7 molex connectors, 8 SATA connectors, 2 6pin PCI-E connectors, 2 6+2pin PCI-E connectors, and a single floppy connector.
