NZXT Aperture M Review

Aperture M Overview
The Aperture M is a pretty simple device.  The front houses both the USB 3.0 ports and card reader.  NZXT has gone with a mesh design so you can match the Aperture M to their cases and many other cases as well.  The card reader supports pretty much everything out there, but there is the list: CF, MD, SM, XD, SD, SDHC, SDXC, MMC, MS, M2, and MicroSD.

Most of the device is made of high quality plastic and has metal mounting points on each side so you can easily install it in your case.  Taking a look at the back of the unit you only have two connections, just internal USB 3.0 and internal USB 2.0.  So if you are going to want to use this device your motherboard needs to have those headers.

Installation & Usage
The Aperture M installs just like any other 5.25-inch bay device, just simply slide it right in.  If your case does not have a tool-less locking system use the included screws to lock the Aperture M into place.  Finally connect the USB 3.0 header and USB 2.0 header to your motherboard and you are good to go!

I installed the Aperture M in my Corsair Graphite Series 600T, which has the same style of mesh that is on the Aperture M so it matches up pretty well.  I tested both SD and CF cards in the Aperture M and they work great.  Also the USB 3.0 ports works flawlessly.
