NVIDIA GP107 ASIC Pictured, Die Smaller Than A Dime!

Here are the first leaked photos of NVIDIA’s tiny GP107 silicon. This silicon will power the upcoming GeForce GTX 1050 Ti and GeForce GTX 1050 (non-Ti) graphics cards. The leaked photos show a postage stamp size GPU package, with a die-area even smaller at around 1 cm².

Rumors have been floating around the web that the GP107 could be built on Samsung’s 14nm process. Taking a look at the photos we can see that the GPU package is surrounded by four GDDR5 memory chips. The GTX 1050 Ti will feature 4GB of GDDR5 memory. We can also spot a 6-pin PCIe power connector. While the chip is expected to have a TPD of 75W and would only require slot power, board partners will likely add 6-pin PCIe power connectors to be safe and to handle factory overclocks.
