NVIDIA Announces the GeForce GTX 780 Ti

Well it did not take long for NVIDIA to counter the AMD’s upcoming Radeon R9 290X graphics card. As the final announcement at the GeForce event in Montreal NVIDIA announced their upcoming high-end gaming card, the GeForce GTX 780 Ti.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Ti

Currently we do not know that much about the card other then the name and where it will sit in NVIDIA’s collection of cards. The GTX 780 Ti will be NVIDIA’s new high-end gaming card effectively moving above the current GeForce GTX 780. Information on the specifications, hardware, and pricing has yet to be unveiled. If it is set to replace the GTX 780 then expect a card around the $650 mark. Also in that same respect we would guess it would be based on the GK110 core with a higher clock and more SMXes enabled. The image you see above that was released by NVIDIA shows that the card will be using GTX Titan cooler or a variation of it.

The graph below is brought to you by Anandtech and shows NVIDIA’s current high-end lineup.

NVIDIA has stated that the card will launch in the middle of November. We would guess after AMD’s R9 290X launches. When we know more details on the card we will be sure to let you know.
