Noctua NH-L9i Low-Profile CPU Cooler Review

Installation & Testing

As you can see from the video above the installation process is quite easy.  Just line the CPU cooler up screw in the 4 included screws on the back.  It really is that simple.  This cooler is small enough you can install it while your system is still inside the case.

Our test system is comprised of the following components:

Processor: Intel Core i7-3770K
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H
Video Card: EVGA GTX 680
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport LP 16GB
Storage: OCZ Vertex 4
Power: OCZ Fatal1ty Series 1000W
Case: Thermaltake Armor Revo

I used Prime95 to put a full load on the CPU.  Temperatures were recorded using the temperature monitors in AIDA 64.  Our first test is with the L.N.A. adapter installed.

Not that bad.  Lets go ahead and remove the L.N.A. adapter and see if the results change.

Again not that bad at all.  For such a small cooler it does a great job at the stock settings for the i7-3770K.
