MSI GeForce N240GT 512MB GDDR5 OC Video Card Review

Author:

Recently we saw NVIDIA release some new models to the market, the GT 210 and GT 220. Today they’ve released another model sitting in the same series; this called the GT 240. While companies continue to tell us this is a mainstream product, we better know it as a low end card. While we don’t doubt that this model will outsell future mid-range and higher end models when they’re released, it doesn’t make the model any more exciting. In saying that, however, the GT 240 has some pretty cool features like a 40nm core and GDDR5 memory. We’ll get into more detail about this in just a moment.

Common Nvidia, we need something new and worth while for the enthusiasts.

It's coming, just be patient. It's going to be crazy expensive though, so probably outa our price ranges

$600-700 or more sounds about right.

i'm thinking more than that, considering the current gtx 295s are about 500-$700 depending on how they are cooled.

It'll all depend on how it performs against the HD5980.

I'm sure Nvidia won't even consider that.

Yeah they will. If the Fermi isn't faster than the HD5970, its certainly won't be priced higher than a HD5970.

  • lewislau

It will have to be because nvidia has invested a lot of money into their products and aren't making enough profit, if at all.
