New Radeon HD 7870 Dual-X Edition Graphics Card from Sapphire

Sapphire has rolled out a new graphics card in their 7870 GHz line. It actually is not that much different from any other Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition cards, except for the cooler. The reason Sapphire is releasing this card is because some HD 7870 GHz Edition cards crash and give a black screen of doom. This phenomenon which happens randomly is said to be caused by poor quality capacitors. Sapphire has corrected this issue and released the new Radeon HD 7870 Dual-X Edition.

The new card features Sapphire’s Dual-X cooling solution, cost-effective PCB and 2GB of GDDR5 memory. Sapphire has stuck with the AMD reference clock of 1000MHz for the core and 4.8GHz for the memory. Outputs include 2 DVI, a single DisplayPort and single HDMI. The card should be priced around $230.
