Mushkin Redline DDR4-3000 16GB Memory Kit Review

Mushkin Redline DDR4-3000 16GB Memory Kit Overview
Taking a closer look at the Redline DDR4-3000 16GB Memory Kit we have two modules as it is a dual-channel 16GB kit. Each of the modules is characterized by an all-red heatspreader. This heatspreader is Mushkin’s Frostbyte G3 heatspreader and it looks pretty good. There is a Redline logo on one end of the module and a Mushkin logo on the other. Towards the bottom of the heatspreader is a silver reflective accent.

The opposite side of the modules are pretty much the same except you have a sticker with all of your information on it. It lets us know we have the MRA4U300JJJM8GX2 kit which again is a 16GB (2x8GB) kit with DDR4-3000 (3000 MHz) speeds with official timings of 18-18-18-38 at 1.35V. You will void your warranty if you remove this sticker. One thing that was kind of a disappointment with this kit is that the PCB is green. It just does not go all that well with the red heatspreaders, a black PCB would have been much better.

The Frostbyte G3 heatspreaders extend above the modules slightly and have a sort of open spiral design. Mushkin does not give official specifications on the height of the modules, but our measurements put them at 1.5-inches tall at their highest point. That is something you are going to want to keep in mind when it comes to choosing a CPU cooler.
