Mushkin ECO2 Solid State Drive Overview
The Mushkin ECO2 is makes use of a black metal casing. On the top of the drive there is a sticker that has a Mushkin ECO2 logo on it and lets you know the capacity of the drive that you have. As I said this really is a no-frills drive, it is made to be cost-effective, not flashy.
The drive is a 7 mm drive like most modern solid state drives. On the side of the drive there are two mounting holes.
On the end of the drive you will find your connections which are the typical SATA power and data connections.
Flipping the drive over we can see the back of the drive is completely plain.
Removing two screws on each side of the drive you can take the casing apart. We do not recommend doing this as it will void your warranty.
Removing four more screws we can take the PCB completely out of the casing and take a closer look. The drive itself is powered by the SandForce SF-2241 controller and the NAND is Micron MLC NAND. There are a total of 16 NAND chips, each is 16GB.
