Mushkin Blackline DDR4-2800 8GB Memory Kit Review

Overclocking
Overclocking on the Intel Z170 platform is pretty easy. The easiest way to overclock would be up simply change the frequency divider in the BIOS. To achieve the best overclock we try to stay with the timings that the XMP profile recommends, but we will loosen or tighten timings to get the best overclock possible.

The XMP profile puts this kit at 2800 MHz. In the BIOS I started moving up the frequency divider. Keeping the same timings and voltage I was able to get the kit up to 3000 MHz, but anything above that and it would not boot. Thinking I could push things further I bumped up the voltage from 1.2V to 1.35V. With the voltage bumped I was able to get the kit up to 3200 MHz, which is pretty impressive.
