MSI Shows Off 2 AM4 Motherboards Ready For Ryzen

While MSI had their entire Z270 lineup at CES, there was something else that caught our attention there. On a small table they had two AM4 motherboards! These were the X370 XPower Titanium and the B350 Tomahawk. For the longest time AMD motherboards from major manufactures like MSI sort of fell behind their Intel counterparts, but it looks like these boards are pretty on par.

Starting with the X370 XPower Titanium of course that is MSI’s Titanium board so you have the Titanium PCB. The board does have metal shielding around its DDR4 slots as well as two of the three PCI-Express slots. The board will support 2-way NVIDIA SLI and 3-way AMD CrossFire. There are two turbo M.2 slots, a single Turbo U.2 slots, and six SATA 6GB/s ports. The board will also have USB 3.1 gen 2 with a Type-A and Type-C port on the back.

Next we have the B350 Tomahawk, which has a black and grey PCB. It has two PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots, with only one being metal shielded. This board also has 1 Turbo M.2 slot and USB 3.1 (gen 1). Not much else is really known about these two board and MSI couldn’t tell us much more.

But it is great to see real AM4 board ready for Ryzen in the flesh!
