MSI P67A-GD55 Intel P67 Motherboard Review

Testing – Video
The next 2 pages of testing depend very highly on the video card you use.  In our case it is the Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 1GB Video Card.

Our first video test is 3DMark 11.

Then we ran 3DMark Vantage on the “Performance” setting.

Our next benchmarking tool is the Heaven Demo v2.1. The Heaven Demo is based off the Unigine and is actually a DirectX 11 demo. The settings we used were 1680 x 1050 resolution, shaders: high, textures: high, filter: trilinear, Anisotrophy: 4x, antialiasing 8x.

Stone Giant is a DirectX 11 demo produced by Fatshark in collaboration with BitSquid using BitSquid Tech. It has primarily been developed to test the BitSquid tools and technology in a real-world production environment. The demo showcases how DX11 hardware tessellation can be used to achieve a high level of geometry detail in close-up shots.  The settings we used were Resolution: 1680 x 1050, Aspect: Auto, Tessellation: High.

  1. I would appreciate a quick answer; so I just bought this motherboard and an Intel i5 3570k Ivy Bridge processor. Are they compatible?

  2. Hi Eric
    According to: http://event.msi.com/mb/22nm/
Yes, they are compatible. You will need to update your BIOS to version 4.0.

Hope this helps. If you want speedier responses in the future, please post on the forums! There’s always someone around to help.
