MSI unveiled their first FM2+ socket motherboards at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this month and they are launching them today. The A88X-G45 Gaming and the A88XM Gaming motherboards are the first gaming motherboards from MSI for the AMD FM2+ socket.
Both of these motherboards will feature the Killer Gigabit Ethernet controller, Audio Boost technology, and USB audio power that provides 5V power at all time to the USB ports. Each board will also feature MSI’s Military Class 4 components that will ensure durability and stability when overclocking.
The A88X-G45 Gaming is an ATX motherboard. It will easily support two video cards, has six USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, DVI, HDMI, VGA, DisplayPort and four DIMM slots to support up to 32GB of DDR3 memory at 2400 MHz speeds. As far as storage goes there are eight SATA III connectors.
The A88XM Gaming is a Micro-ATX motherboard and has many of the same features of the larger A88X-G45 Gaming. Although it does have two less USB 3.0 ports on the back.
MSI is giving away a copy of Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD with every A88X-G45 Gaming motherboard!
