MSI Launches Industry’s First 3K Gaming Notebook and 3K Workstation

MSI recently introduced the first ever 3K gaming notebook, the GT60 2OD-261US, which has been made available for this holiday season. The 2880×1620 resolution provides a brighter and sharper display result which will give gamers a visual experience so crisp that they wouldn’t have experienced it anywhere else. Its anti-reflective 3K panel has been powered up with the newest 4th generation Intel Core i7 processor and the strong graphics have been backed by the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M graphics.

If you don’t think this is enough (though one would truly not wish for anything else after all that has been mentioned above), the notebook has been completed with the Killer DoubleShot wireless technology, Dynaudio Premium Speakers with Subwoofer and a keyboard with a SteelSeries full color backlighting. Along with this, an optimized GT60 has also been released by MSI which has been optimized for the latest Adobe Creative Suite 6, AutoDesk and SolidWorks and comes with the 3K display. Similar features and technologies will be featured on this GT60 2OKWS-278US. This one also has the SteelSeries backlit keyboard, the Killer Doubleshot wireless and has been powered by the same processor. The only features distinguishing are the NVIDIA Quadro K3100M GPU and a Blu-ray Disc Burner.

The Matrix Display capability provides a set of yet another series of advantages to both the gaming notebook as well as the workstation. With the support of 3 external displays, this creates 4 independent displays to enable the multi-tasking desktop replacement mode. Talking about the cooling solutions featured on both the notebooks, the Cooler Boost 2 technology is quite efficient with decreasing the temperature levels. The GT60 gaming and GT60 Workstation with 3K displays can now be purchased for $2,199.99 and $2,799.99 respectively.
