MiPow Maca Color iPhone 4 Charging Cases Review

Installation & Testing
Before you go installing these cases on your iPhone you want to make sure they are charged up.  Just press the power button on them and blue LED’s will show you the battery level.  If they need charged just plug them in to an available USB port.  When charging the battery level indicator will stay on to let you know when the case is fully charged.

Once you have the cases charged it is very simple to just slide your iPhone in.  This is really one of the easiest installs that I’ve seen for an iPhone case.  When you slide your phone in it will most likely automatically start charging.  If you don’t want to charge your phone you simply just hit the power button to stop charging.

There is an optional top piece that you can put in the case that will protect the top part of your iPhone.  You just simply slide it on and lock it into place.  Below are photos of my iPhone installed in both the Air and the 2200 case so you can see how the cases impact the overall size of your phone.

As I said we took these cases with us to Las Vegas for CES.  Running around the Las Vegas convention center all day, then going to press events, then parties there really is not much time to charge your phone.  So needless to say these 2 cases came in handy.  The Air case only gave us about 20-30% battery life back, while the 2200 gave us about 70-90%.  With the 2200 case installed the overall feel of the phone was still good and solid.  It did not feel like a brick like my iPhone did when I was using the PowerSkin for iPhone 4.
