When I first started looking for cases for my Kindle Fire HD I had a few requirements. First, I wanted a case that did not add that much extra size to the Kindle. Second, it needed to have a stand. I actually watch a lot of videos on my Kindle so having a stand was definitely needed. Finally, of course it has to have some type of protection for my Kindle.
If you look at the criteria I had the MicroShell Folio from Marware fit the bill pretty much perfect. It is small enough that it does not make my Kindle that much larger than what it is. It has a built in stand, which makes watching videos so much better and it is much easier having Skype calls on. The back has a hard polycarbonate shell which provides quite a lot of protection and the front folio makes it so your screen will not get scratched. The inside of the case as well as the folio cover has a microfiber lining, which adds more protection.
So this case does everything that I wanted, but there is more. First installing my Kindle and taking it out is extremely simple. It takes about 5 seconds to install it as well as remove it from the case. When you have your Kindle installed in the case you still have access to all of the ports and buttons. Also there are openings on the back for the two speakers. When you are carrying your Kindle around there is also the elastic strap on the back that can hold the folio cover in place so it does not accidentally slide open.
When it comes down to it there really is nothing I can say bad about this case. It does a great job at protecting your Kindle Fire HD and looks good doing it. Remember it is not only available in black it is also available in silver, orange, pink and purple. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Marware MicroShell Folio Kindle Fire HD Case a 10 out of 10 score and our Recommended Award!
