“That's because the hot hot isn't trapped underneath the laptop.” HUH? Laptops vent their heat through the bottom / ocassionally the side. Mine vents from the bottom, thus the act of rasising it increases the airflow, and the heat doesn't build up as much.

wtf? how is testing the laptop by just raising it not a good point? clearly some laptops only need to be raised up, and it's then not the cooler that's actually doing the cooling but the act of raising it alone.
