LUXA2 E-One Aluminum Headset Holder Review

Testing
My testing of E-One consisted of:
– Does my headset stay on E-One?
– Can I easily tip over E-One?
– Did E-One get in my way or unnecessarily crowd my desk?
– Can E-One provide any benefit for my headset?

Results of the above ‘testing’:
Yes. In fact, it did so really well. The rubber band around the top really keeps it in place. Even if I bump into my desk or accidentally bump into E-One, my headset never fell. Of course that doesn’t mean it can’t fall – if I hit it the right way it would, but in normal day-to-day activities, E-One properly held my headset.

NO! E-One acts as if it is glued to my desk. I do have a glass desk, so I wonder if that is part of the reason why E-One acts like it is part of my desk, but regardless, E-One is not being tipped over whatsoever. I went ahead and took E-One off of my desk, and it took some serious work – pulling and pushing the base for a solid few minutes. Also to credit E-One’s design, it didn’t leave any blemishes on my desk, and E-One wasn’t damaged either. I placed E-One on my desk again later that day, and at first it wasn’t ‘glued’, I could easily move it or pick it up. However, by the next day, E-One had reclaimed its stronghold to my desk. If I want to remove it again, it’ll be at least another few minutes of serious work.

Surprisingly E-One’s profile fits perfectly with my setup. My computer is on the right side of my desk, so I placed E-One at the right edge of my desk. It has come in very handy always having my headset near me, and it hasn’t been in the way of any other activities that occur on or around my desk.

The earpads on my headset are felt, and have attracted quite a bit of dust over the last year or so. Most of the accumulated dust is from laying them down on my dusty desk, or dusty table adjacent to my desk. Furthermore, the earpads are almost impossible to clean, so I’m stuck with dusty earpads unless I buy replacements. E-One could’ve saved my earpads from their dust-attracting fate since the headset would always be hanging, and not being placed on a dusty surface. So yes, E-One could benefit my headset and yours by keeping any headset’s earpads out of contact with dusty surfaces. While I started using E-One a bit late to fully save my earpads, I know their future is dust-free.
