Flipside 200 Overview
Like I said this bag from Lowepro is a backpack, but is very slim, which makes it great for photographers on the go at events. We received the black version of the bag, but the Flipside also comes in red and arctic blue. Lowepro makes another version of the Flipside, the 300 which is a bit larger. On the top of the bag there is a carrying handle that makes it easy to pick the back up when you are not wearing it on your back.
On the left side of the bag you have a mesh pocket that can be used for a water bottle or something similar. On the opposite side you have a small compartment that when opened reveals space for accessories and memory cards.
Flipping the bag over we can see both shoulder straps have slip lock attachment loops where you can add other Lowepro accessories. The back of the bag is nicely padded so when you are wearing it, it is very comfortable. You will notice some straps towards the bottom of the bag, we will get into that later in the review.
Before we get into the bag let’s check out the tripod holder. It simply comes out of the bottom of the bag. You put the bottom of the tripod in the holder then secure the tripod with the strap on the front of the bag.
The main compartment of the bag opens from the back. This is a simple security feature since no one can open the bag when you have it on. The main compartment has room for a D-SLR with lens attached and a few other lenses. Just like all Lowepro bags the compartments inside are Velcro so you can move them around to whichever configuration fits your setup. There is a small storage bag that is in the main compartment too, you can remove it and put cords and other accessories inside and put it back inside the bag.
