Lian Li Shows Off With New O Series Cases

We all know that Lian Li is synonymous with quality. But for the most part they have stuck to the same traditional rectangular case design. Recently they have turned up their creative side and started making some really interesting case designs like their DK case desk series. Much like the DK series, the new “O” series really showcases the skill and quality that Lian Li possesses thanks to their in house manufacturing.

These cases really stand out due to the large piece of tempered glass that serves as the entire front panel. Each case features several different options for mounting or display. For traditional use there is a stylish stand that easily attaches to the bottom of the case. There are also slots for wall mounting the case and finally feet that can be installed for laying the case flat. The front and rear of these cases have long mesh covered slots for ample ventilation. All of the “O” series cases are also built with a space for a slot optical drive.

Behind the glass, things continue to be interesting with the most notable feature being their PCI-E mounting position. In order to make the cases as thin as possible Lian Li has employed a PCI-E extension ribbon and the VGA card mounts in the bottom of the case prominently displaying the card in the front window.

There are four different cases in the “O” series and they are all based on the same design aesthetic with slight variations. The series starts with the PC-05 X and PC-05S X which are both Mini-ITX cases, the difference being the S version supports water cooling. The PC-O6SX takes a Micro-ATX motherboard and the PC-07SX can take an SP-ATX and regular ATX board.

All four cases will be available in February and pricing is as follows: PC-05X ($289), PC-05SX ($319), PC-O6SX ($379), PC-07SX ($419).
