Installation
So what will be installing in the PC-Q06? Since it only supports Mini-ITX motherboards we will be using the ASRock A330ION Mini-ITX motherboard, Cougar SX850 850W power supply, 320GB Seagate SATA drive and a DVD burner. Installation first starts with removing the optical drive cage. This is easily done by removing 2 screws on each side.
Once it is out you can go ahead and line up your optical drive and screw it in to place. Then just go ahead and reinstall the cage back in the PC-Q06.
The hard drive is next, you need to remove 2 brackets on each side of the case and install them on each side of your hard drive. Once you have done that you can go ahead and place the hard drive in the case and secure it with 2 screws on each side.
You can next install the motherboard or power supply, whichever you do prefer. If installing the motherboard you want it screw in the included standoffs and if you are going to be using an expansion card go ahead and install the expansion card bracket. The motherboard goes right on top of the case and is secured with large screws. The power supply easily slides in to place, although it is a very tight fit, especially with all of the cables.
Once I had everything plugged in I tried to clean up the cables as much as I could. I tried to put the back cover back on and route the cables, but it didn’t work that great because the power supply cable, 2 USB cables, and 2 SATA cables barely fit through the opening. I flipped the cover upside-down to make things a little better. Once you have everything installed you can see that you have easy access to your motherboard and memory.
