Lepa Readies MaxPlatinum Line of High-Wattage Power Supplies

Lepa is getting ready to launch a new line of high-wattage power supplies for high-end desktop and workstation builds. These power supplies will be ideal for systems running multiple graphics cards and multiple processors even.

LEPA MaxPlatnium

These new units will be part of the MaxPlatinum line and will be offered in two different variants. First the P1050M which is a 1050W unit. Secondly we have the P1700M unit. This unit will provide 1700 W of power when plugged into 230VAC (EMEAI, APAC), but only 1375W when plugged into 115AC (North America, Japan). Both units carry with them an 80PLUS Platinum rating.

The P1050M comes with enough cabling with three high-end graphics cards. On the other hand the P1700M unit will have eight 6+2 PCI-E connectors on the US/Japan version and the EMEAI/APAC variant will have ten 6+2 PCI-E power connectors. The P1050M features a four +12V rail design whereas the P1700M features a six +12V rail design.

Both units are originally manufactured by Enermax, no word yet on pricing or availability.
