Lenovo Smartband SW-B100 Wil Be Able to Unlock Your PC

Wearables seem to be like the next hot thing with everyone coming out with these devices. It looks like Lenovo is the next big company to jump one this craze. They have quietly put up a product page for the Smartband SW-B100. The device is said to be able to track fitness, sleep and heart-rate, but it also has another big feature that is not on competing devices.

Getting down to the specifics the device will track things like steps taken, distance moved, calories burned, and current heart rate. Like most fitness trackers it will also log and graph those statistics. If you choose to wear the device overnight it will sleep hours and quality of sleep. The device can also be integrated with your smartphone and will be able to give you call or SMS alerts.

The Smartband will also be able to log in to a connected PC, bypassing the conventional password. This is quite the interesting feature and would make logging into your PC much easier. We are going to assume that your PC has to be Bluetooth enabled, but we could be wrong.

Expect a full reveal from Lenovo in the coming weeks. It has been reported that the device will not use Android Wear, instead a more basic OS will be installed so Lenovo can have more control and offer better battery life.
