Lenovo IdeaPad S10 10.2-inch Laptop Review

IdeaPad S10 Overview
The S10 is a very small and compact laptop at only 9.8″ x 7.2″ x 1.2″ and weighs in at 2.64lbs so it definitely fits into the ultraportable category. The picture below shows how small it is compared to the Lenovo ThinkPad X300. We received the all white version of the S10, but the S10 also comes in blue, red, black and pink.

Starting on the right side you have the ExpressCard slot, headphone / mic jacks, a USB port, Ethernet port, and a security lock. The security lock is in a very unique location, I like it. On the left side you have heat ventilation, power jack, VGA out, 3-in-1 card reader and 1 more USB port. That’s only 2 USB ports, which isn’t a lot but I don’t think most people will complain.

On the front of the S10 are 2 small speakers, surprisingly they sound good. On the left side there are 3 LED indicators: power, battery, and WiFi.

Flipping the IdeaPad over there are 4 rubber feet that will keep the notebook in place when you are typing. Also there are 3 ventilation holes on the bottom to provide for even more cooling. Unlike most compact notebook the S10 can be easily upgraded. Just remove 2 screws on the back and you can easily swap out the hard drive and memory.
